Brian Daboll vs. Brian Flores

Buffalo’s offensive coordinator Brian Daboll has been on the hot seat after his offense’s poor performance against the Browns. He’s been criticized for the lack of touches gotten by running back Devin Singletary and suspect play calling during critical moments.

The Buffalo Bills offense is currently ranked at the bottom in multiple categories. In terms of yards per game they’re ranked 23rd, with 336.6. They rank 24th in passing offense with a putrid 212.6 yards per game. They do have a potent rushing attack though, which is currently ranked 12th in the league. Buffalo is averaging 124.3 yards per game and has 10 rushing touchdowns throughout the season.

Miami head coach Brian Flores, the former New England Patriots linebackers coach, is known for his defensive prowess, and has his team defense play at a high level in these past two games. In the past two games they’ve allowed a total of just 30 points. Flores also had his defense playing well against the Bills, in the first half they allowed just nine points.

Against Buffalo, he stifled the offense in the first half, not allowing the Bills to get a sniff of the end zone. In the second half, the Bills broke down the Miami defense, and Buffalo eventually got the win. Flores sent a lot of exotic blitzes, and disguised his coverage’s to fluster Josh Allen and had his defense playing fearless.

If Daboll can get his offense back on track, and take advantage of Miami’s aggressive defense, Buffalo may be able to put the game out of reach early.
