Amari Cooper vs. Tre’Davious White
Amari Cooper was held catch less on Sunday when lining up against Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore. Cooper has been dynamic for the Cowboys since his arrival from the Raiders last October. In his time with Dallas he has caught 109 passes for 1,611 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Cooper has been a reliable target for quarterback Dak Prescott, and has provided a much needed downfield target for Prescott. On Thursday, Cooper will be facing star cornerback Tre’Davious White.
White is having the best season of his career, he has 4 interceptions which is tied for second in the NFL, he has broken up 13 passes as well. White also hasn’t allowed touchdown yet this season, an impressive statistic that he will want to continue through the rest of the season.
These two met during White’s rookie season in Buffalo, where he held Cooper to just 48 yards on five catches. Now that Prescott his throwing the ball Coopers way, this may be a different story than their first meeting in Buffalo.
