Bill Belichick explains how Josh Allen reminds him of Tom Brady

Well that’s pretty big time:

Praise of opponents often happens in the NFL. No one wants to throw gas on anyone else’s fire.

When it comes to quarterbacks, when someone is playing as well as Josh Allen is for the Bills, that’s certainly going to happen. The Patriots provided some of that ahead of the two teams facing off in Week 17 at Highmark Stadium.

“You’ve got to secure your tackle [against Allen],” Linebacker Jahlani Tavai said via video conference. “We’ve got to make sure we cover our guys.”

But Patriots head coach Bill Belichick took it to a whole new level.

The Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady duo is well known by Bills fans. Many around the NFL world consider Brady the best quarterback in football history.

Belichick has made an Allen-Brady comparison.

Now that’s some praise.

“Once Brady got to a certain point there in ’03, that’s pretty much the way he was the rest of his career,” Belichick said. “Different style of play, but once those quarterbacks usually get to that point they’re usually able to sustain it.”
