At this point, this Big Ten drama is a comedy of errors. I’m not sure who is leading the communication (or lack thereof), decision-making, and conversations, but here we are again. While a lot of the speculation is coming from the media on the conference announcing something in regards to a fall football season, it’s all coming from very reputable sources.
People want to know what’s going on, yet it seems nobody does, yet everybody thinks they do.
That means those involved with what’s going on are talking and believing everything is trending in the right direction. Yet, still nothing as the time ticks away again, after another day of anticipation of an announcement.
And now, according to Yahoo Sports’ Pete Thamel, the Big Ten coaches haven’t been told anything about what’s going on. And so, all they are left to do is to continue to practice in the anticipation that a decision will be coming and that they’ll have to be ready to go potentially on October 17.
No official word about a Big Ten restart has trickled down to Big Ten coaches. Many programs have been proceeding/planning the past few days for an Oct. 17 start, pending the upcoming vote/decision. There remains a lot of hope and optimism. But no official green light, yet.

So, we continue to tell you what’s being reported out there, but we have no idea when everything is going to go down. We still feel good about a fall Big Ten season, we just don’t know what the hold up is.
At this point, I’m not sure even the Big Ten decision-makers know what the holdup is.
So we wait … and wait … and wait some more.
