Texas will be traveling to face Oklahoma State on Halloween.
Although the Longhorns are coming off of back-to-back conference losses, they’re still one of the most talented teams in the conference. The Cowboys have yet to lose a game this season, therefore it presents an attractive matchup.
Many assumed that the Longhorns would have the primetime game on Oct. 31, but the Big 12 conference announced on Monday that Oklahoma at Texas Tech would kick off at 7 p.m. CDT on FOX.

Texas landed in the 3 p.m. CDT time slot for Week 8. There’s still one more game to be played before the Longhorns face off with the Cowboys in one of the conference’s most highly-anticipated games this year.
Baylor and Texas are scheduled to play each other in Week 7, while Oklahoma State will face Iowa State. It’s certainly possible for the Cowboys to meet the Longhorns after suffering their first loss of the season to a solid Iowa State squad.
Oklahoma will likely defeat TCU in Week 7, but Texas Tech is the worst team in the conference outside of Kansas. In that case, we can all agree that the most exciting Big 12 game of Week 8 will be kicking off at 3 p.m. on FOX.
