No. 10 – Harry Trotter, Kansas State
Top two running backs James Gilbert and Jordon Brown have both left the Kansas State program, leaving an open competition for this season. Harry Trotter was the third leading rusher on the team last season, making him the early favorite to win the spot.
Going into his senior year, Trotter is already on his third different school. He began at Fort Scott Community College before transferring to Louisville to be a walk-on. After rushing for 263 yards last season, his role will be increased in 2020.
No. 9 – Leddie Brown, West Virginia
West Virginia struggled to run the football last season, finishing dead last in the conference with 73.3 yards per game. If there was any sort of a running game, Leddie Brown was leading the way for the Mountaineers.
Brown only had 107 touches last season, having 367 yards on the ground. His sole touchdown of the season came against Kansas. If West Virginia wants to have a more successful 2020, Brown will need to better his 3.4 yards per carry.
