Last season converted wide receiver D’Shawn Jamison burst onto the scene as a cornerback and return man. Jamison had his biggest game against West Virginia when he came down with two interceptions. Look for Jamison to have a bigger impact on the defensive side with an improved pass rush and new position coach in former NFL cornerback Jay Valai.
Caden Sterns is looking to get back to his freshman ways when he led the team with four interceptions. He definitely has the ballskills to patrol the middle of the field and attack like a hawk. With his injury-riddled season now behind him, Sterns is poised for a comeback.
