The linebacker play
Last year Texas Tech had a really could linebacker duo in Jordyn Brooks and Riko Jeffers. This year they added the brother of Texas wide receiver Brenden Schooler. Colin Schooler is looking for an opportunity to prove his worth at the weakside linebacker spot. He was All-Pac 12 as a member of the Arizona Wildcats.
If he along with Krishon Merriweather can secure their tackles and prevent this run game from going, that would benefit the Red Raiders defense. Merriweather was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week after their first game. The duo along with Jeffers could also be used in the pass rush. They need to find a way to disrupt the offense.
