The trap game
After having a week off after the win over UTEP and a week before they open Big 12 play at home, it is hard to call this a trap game. It isn’t like Oklahoma is looming next week. However, in year’s past the Texas Longhorns have seemed to drop a game that they shouldn’t. In 2018 when they went on to the Sugar Bowl, the Longhorns played a nail-biter with Tech.
Last season the Longhorns dropped a game to TCU where Sam Ehlinger played one of the worst games of his career. Not to mention losing by two points to Iowa State on the road. The Longhorns have to avoid another situation like that but it is a game in Lubbock and weird things happen. If Tech can match punch for punch in this one, they could take down Texas.
