KNOXVILLE — The first round of the Best Tennessee Team Playoff of the BCS-College Football Era has kicked off.
The fourth game of the playoff showcased the 2004 Vols against 2014 Tennessee.
2004 Tennessee defeated 2014 UT, 28-7.
Gerald Riggs Jr. led the 2004 Vols with 144 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 19 attempts.
2004 quarterback Erik Ainge was 18-of-32 for 238 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. Josh Dobbs finished 11-of-16 for 123 yards and one touchdown for 2014 Tennessee. Dobbs also totaled 51 rushing yards on 26 attempts.
