4. New England Patriots

Things have flipped for the Patriots post-Gronk. The Pats are hoping to immediately find a Tom Brady replacement for Tom Brady with his departure this offseason, they’ve had no such luck in doing so with Gronkowski as they’re still looking for a new No. 1 tight end and now have a slew of young guys at the position.

Rookie Devin Asiasi is expected to take the No.1 spot on the Patriots tight end depth chart. Asiasi caught 44 passes for 641 yards and four touchdowns at UCLA last year. Third-round pick Dalton Keene is in line to be second on the depth chart or battle for playing time. He was selected 10 spots after Asiasi, as the Patriots knew they would have to fill the massive hole on their roster. The Virgnia Tech product caught 59 passes, eight touchdown passes and totaled 748 receiving yards in three seasons in Blacksburg.

Ryan Izzo, a 2018 seventh-round pick, caught six passes in six games for 114 receiving yards last year. The Patriots have nothing close to the successful player they’ve had at the tight end position in the past.
