The Texas Longhorns are once again the Super Bowl for other teams.
In a press conference on Monday, Baylor head coach Dave Aranda said this:
“I can’t tell you how many times this offseason I heard ‘Dave, just win this one game (the Texas game)”. That has been brought up to me multiple times.”
I’m not sure if Aranda meant to say this out loud, but it’s not a good look for the Bears head coach and it just shows how much an opponent looks to spoil the Horns’ season.
It’s no secret that the Big 12 is out for Texas. The commissioner for the conference, Brett Yormark, has publicly rooted against the Longhorns for a while now. In August, Yormark told Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire to “take care of business” versus the Horns when the Red Raiders travel to Austin on Thanksgiving.
Texas fans will have to get used to this for the rest of the year until they can get out of the inferior Big 12 conference that looks down on one of the most prominent programs that the conference has had.
