The Chicago Bears will face off against the Green Bay Packers for the second time this season, where a familiar face plans to greet them.

There was some doubt as to whether Aaron Rodgers would be good to go against Chicago after suffering a rib injury in Sunday’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

But Rodgers made it clear on the Pat McAfee Show that he’s going to play.

“I got good news with the scans yesterday, so I plan on playing this week,” Rodgers said.

Although, it probably doesn’t matter if it’s Rodgers or Jordan Love getting the start against the Bears. This defense hasn’t been able to stop anyone, and they just lost their best player in safety Eddie Jackson, who landed on injured reserve with a foot injury.

Still, tight end Cole Kmet would certainly like to face Rodgers.

“Yeah, bring it on, you know?” Kmet said, via Dan Wiederer. “He’s the staple of their franchise and to get an opportunity to go beat him, it would always be a good feeling. So, yeah, I would like to see Aaron out there for sure.”

It’s been a rough season for Rodgers and the Packers, who are 4-8 on the season. While the Bears are 3-9, everyone expected Chicago to be bad. Everyone had Green Bay pegged as contenders.

Still, that shouldn’t make any difference against this young, depleted defense that’s now lost its top three players in Roquan Smith (traded), Robert Quinn (traded) and Jackson (IR).
