Batman Arkham trilogy on Switch has a release date now

A few months after the Batman Arkham trilogy for Switch debuted during a Nintendo Direct, Rocksteady finally announced a release date

A few months after the Batman Arkham trilogy for Switch turned up during the June Nintendo Direct, Rocksteady and Nintendo finally announced a release date for the Batman game collection. The Arkham trilogy for Switch launches on the fitting date of Oct. 13, 2023, a Friday the 13th smack in the middle of spooky season.

It’s a beefy package, too. The trilogy includes all three games, of course, along with every expansion for each. There’s quite a lot of DLC, especially for the final game, Arkham Knight, including a full Batgirl prequel, Catwoman as a playable character, and even a bundle of Batmobile race tracks if you want to take a break with some superhero racing.

Arkham Asylum is where it all started, Rocksteady said in a press release. “Featuring an original story, players move in the shadows as Batman to instill fear amongst enemies and confront The Joker and Gotham City’s most notorious villains, including Harley Quinn, Bane, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, and Scarecrow, who have taken over the asylum [in a] unique, dark, and atmospheric adventure.”

That adventure culminates with Arkham Knight, with a boatload of DC heroes and villains turning up for the grand finale, including Oracle, Nightwing, Firefly, the Riddler, and Batgirl.

Pre-orders for the collection aren’t open yet, and there’s no price information on Nintendo’s eShop page.
