Ohio State has its first official signing for the 2021 class, Australian Punter Jesse Mirco.
Mirco, who committed to the Buckeyes back in May, is eligible to sign with the program right away because of his age. According to NCAA rules, the rest of the 2021 class will have to wait until the early signing period of December 16 to be eligible to do so. Micro, however, is 23 years old so that does not apply.
Mirko plans to enroll at Ohio State in January after being developed through the Australian program ProKick that has produced other punting prospects in the United States. Former OSU and current Philadelphia Eagles punter Cameron Johnston is an alum.
Clearly, Mirko was excited about making himself official with the below Tweet.
