Auburn defense down two players due to injuries

With the 2020 season just days away Auburn is in final preperation for the season but will be without two defenders indefinitely.

With the 2020 season just days away, Auburn is preparing for its season opener against Kentucky but will be without two defenders indefinitely.

Gus Malzahn announced Tuesday that redshirt freshman linebacker O.C. Brothers and true freshman Buck defensive lineman Romello Height will both be out indefinitely due to shoulder injuries.

“They had shoulder procedures in the off-season, so they’re recovering,” Malzahn said. “We’re hoping we can get both of those guys back before the end of the season.”

Brothers, a member of Auburn’s 2019 recruiting class,  played against Kent State and Samford last season and recorded two tackles as well as being named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.

Height, a former three-star recuit out of Dublin, Ga., signed with the Tigers  in December after flipping his commitment from Miami to Auburn.
