By defeating the Miami Heat in the 7-8 play-in game on Tuesday night, the Atlanta Hawks secured the right to face the second-seeded Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA’s 2023 Eastern Conference playoffs.
Atlanta’s win surprised many. The general consensus had the Celtics facing the Heat in the first round.
