Braves at Nationals picks and predictions

Prediction

Braves 5, Nationals 3

Money line

The money line is a little bit cheaper Friday than it was Thursday, mostly because of the pitching matchup being less lopsided. At -175, the Braves are still a little expensive, but they’re worth including in a parlay, given their 8-2 record and 7 straight wins over the Nationals.

But alone, I would PASS on the Braves ML.

Run line/Against the spread

The Braves barely failed to cover the spread Thursday, going into the 9th inning with a 5-3 lead. Nationals 3B Maikel Franco clubbed a solo shot over RP Kenley Jansen to make the finals score 5-4.

I’m going back to the well with the BRAVES -1.5 (-108) to cover the spread Friday against a struggling Nationals team.

Over/Under

The total went Under Thursday after the line was set at 9.5 – just barely. The Braves don’t have their ace on the mound, but Corbin offers a bit more Friday than Anibal Sanchez did on Thursday.

Bet the UNDER 9.5 (-115) again in this one.
