Lady Vols’ pitcher Ashley Rogers won the Elite 90 award for the 2023 NCAA Division I Softball Championship.
Rogers recently graduated with a master’s degree in kinesiology and finished with a 4.0 GPA. She received the award during a College World Series banquet Tuesday in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Elite 90 is an award founded by the NCAA, recognizing a true essence of the student-athlete by honoring an individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic achievement among his or her piers.
Elite 90 is presented to a student-athlete with the highest grade point average at the finals site for each of the NCAA’s championships.
