Arkansas falls further outside of US LBM Coaches Poll after Week 2

Both Missouri and Auburn were slotted ahead of Arkansas in the Coaches Poll.

The Arkansas football team was already outside of the US LMB Coaches Poll after the first week of games.

Now the Razorbacks are further back.

Arkansas was a de facto No. 39 in the coaches’ rankings after Saturday’s 28-6 win over Kent State. After their Week 1 victory over Western Carolina, the Hogs were No. 34.

Most concerning was that Arkansas was leapfrogged by BattleLine Rivalry foe Missouri, as the Tigers moved up to Arkansas’ former No. 34 ranking.

The SEC was well-represented throughout. Georgia stayed No. 1, picking up all but one vote for first, as Michigan, Florida State, Ohio State and USC rounded out the top five. Tennessee, Alabama, LSU and Ole Miss also represented the league inside the Top 25.

Just outside, Kentucky was a de facto No. 27, Auburn was No. 29, Texas A&M was No. 30, Mississippi State was No. 43 and South Carolina was No. 47.

Arkansas will host Brigham Young on Saturday in Week 3. The Cougars did not pick up any votes.
