Another Ohio State defensive back enters the transfer portal

The third member of the Ohio State football team entered the transfer portal on Tuesday. Second-year safety Jantzen Dunn broke the news via a Twitter post. He joins safety Jaylen Johnson and linebacker Teradja Mitchell in the portal since the end of the regular season.

Out of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Dunn was a four-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting cycle according to the 247Sports composite, but he suffered a season-ending injury early in the 2021 season and has struggled to get back on the field since.

OSU has multiple defensive backs that have passed him on the depth chart, so it seems safe to assume Dunn is looking for better opportunities and a fresh start somewhere else.

This will not be the last of the transfer portal news we hear from Ohio State, so stay with us as more activity occurs, especially after whatever fate awaits the Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff.
