Wisconsin basketball season is just a week away, and with it comes renewed expectations for a team that has the talent to get back to the NCAA Tournament and make some noise once they get there.
A returning core of Connor Essegian, Chucky Hepburn, Tyler Wahl, Max Klesmit, and Steven Crowl headlines a roster that also adds St. John’s transfer AJ Storr among other exciting additions.
NCAA March Madness reporter, and Badger alum although we promise it didn’t play into any bias on this list, Andy Katz listed his top ten dark horse Final Four contenders earlier this week. While all of these teams may not be true deep dark horses, it’s a list of squads that could certainly make deep runs. It included Wisconsin, Illinois, and Maryland out of the Big Ten:
