The Texas Longhorns basketball program has had many great players come through the Forty Acres.
Some have even taken it to the next level and excelled in the NBA. While a few names are immediately recognizable due to their rise to stardom at Texas, other names may catch you by surprise.
Players such as Myles Turner and Mo Bamba are names current fans are aware of, but they’ve probably never heard of Terrence Rencher, who is the Longhorns’ all-time leader in points and steals. Or perhaps an older player such as LaSalle Thompson, who is one of the greatest rebounders in program history.
It would be almost impossible to narrow the program’s history and successes to just a few names, but it is reasonable to create an all-time starting lineup with a few of the top players to ever wear the burnt orange.
While most of these names are likely players that you’re familiar with, it’s understandable if you’re left scratching your head when you reach the bottom.
