1984: Charles Barkley
Charles Barkley came into the NBA as the “Round Mound of Rebound” and never averaged less than the 14 points per game he notched in his rookie season. Barkley played eight seasons with the Sixers, who drafted him fifth overall. He was an 11-time All-Star and league MVP in 1993. Barkley continues to be one of the great characters in the sport as both a broadcaster and personality.
