Alabama women’s basketball set to take on Tennessee in SEC tournament quarterfinals

Can Kristy Curry and the Tide advance to the SEC tournament semifinals?

On Friday afternoon from Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C. Kristy Curry and the Alabama women’s basketball team will take on the Tennessee Lady Vols in the quarterfinals of the SEC tournament.

Alabama (23-8, 10-6 SEC) defeated the Lady Vols in their lone matchup this season inside Coleman Coliseum to help earn the Crimson Tide a top-four seed in the conference tournament.

The winner of Friday’s matchup will be given the challenge of taking on No. 1 South Carolina in the semifinals.

Alabama has already made history this season earning 10 conference wins for the first time since the 1997-98 season.

The Crimson Tide is seeking its first conference tournament championship in program history.

Tip-off between Alabama and Tennessee will be at approximately 1:30 p.m. CT on Friday and can be seen on the SEC Network.
