Alabama women’s basketball completes season sweep of Auburn, defeats Tigers 69-46

Alabama women’s basketball dominates Auburn 69-46 on Sunday to get the season sweep of the Tigers.

It was an excellent weekend for the Alabama men’s and women’s basketball. First, Nate Oats and the men’s squad went down the Plains and took care of Bruce Pearl and the Auburn Tigers. Then, Kristy Curry and the women’s team completed the season sweep of Auburn on Sunday with a 69-46 win over the Tigers.

With the win, Alabama is now 19-6 on the season and a solid 8-4 in SEC play.

Brittany Davis led Alabama in scoring (18) and rebounds (17) and contributed four assists and three blocks in the contest.

Sarah Ashlee Barker and Aalyiah Nye each chipped in with an additional 11 points.

Alabama will be back at home on Thursday night to take on Vanderbilt at 6:00 p.m. CT.
