Alabama women’s basketball coach Kristy Curry earns 500th career win

Kristy Curry reaches coaching milestone!

On Monday night from Vanderbilt Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville, Kristy Curry and the Alabama Crimson Tide women’s basketball team picked up a much-needed road victory over the Vanderbilt Commodores, 74-66.

With the win, the Tide improved to 18-6 overall and 5-4 in SEC play before heading back to Tuscaloosa to take on Tennessee on Thursday night.

The win on Monday night wasn’t just important for Alabama’s seeding in the NCAA tournament either. The win on Monday gave Coach Curry her 500th career win as a women’s college basketball head coach.

Before taking over Alabama in 2013, Curry had stops at Purdue and Texas Tech where she won a combined 309 games. Since joining the Tide, Curry has put together a record of 191-149 and is on her way to earning a bid to the big dance for the third time in four seasons.

Congratulations to Coach Curry on the incredible accomplishment.
