Final Grade: D+
What a pitiful performance by the Alabama special teams units against LSU. It all got started with a poor snap and hold on a 49-yard Will Reichard field goal attempt that doinked off the crossbar. Then, the punt safe team allows a 26-yard completion to set the Tigers offense up in an easy scoring position. If that wasn’t enough, Alabama had yet another poor snap and hold during an extra-point attempt that led to a missed PAT.
A series of blunders by the Alabama special teams unit almost led to a Tide loss.
Fortunately, all of these issues are correctable and one would hope they got all their mistakes out of the way as Alabama heads down the final stretch of the regular season.
