As we continue through the offseason, Roll Tide Wire has decided to bring fans a quick snapshot of each scholarship player listed on Alabama’s 2020 football roster.
Each day, we’ll release two player profiles giving fans a glimpse into the players who will be available this upcoming season. Whether that’s size, classification, hometowns or recruiting rankings coming out of high school, we’ve got you covered.
Also included in each article is a quick recap letting you know what to expect from that player for the upcoming 2020 season and beyond.
Next up on the list is redshirt freshman offensive lineman Pierce Quick out of Trussville (Ala.).
Pierce Quick, Offensive Line

Height: 6-5 / Weight: 291
Class: Redshirt Freshman
Hometown: Trussville (Ala.)
High School: Hewitt-Trussville High School
HS ranking (247Sports): 4-star / No. 40 overall / No. 7 OT / No. 4 ALA
HS ranking (Rivals): 4-star / No. 82 overall / No. 10 OT / No. 4 ALA
Analysis: Pierce Quick saw action in four games, which means he was able to retain his redshirt status at the conclusion of 2019. Now, the second-year offensive lineman is looking to make a push up the depth chart.
It’s possible that Quick could be in the mix to backup one of the tackle spots behind expected starters Alex Leatherwood and Evan Neal, but the 6-foot-5, 291-pound blocker might be better suited further inside at either guard or maybe even center.
Either way, Quick has shown a lot of leadership skills since committing to the Crimson Tide back in April of 2017, and that respect that he has earned from coaches and teammates alike will go a long way in helping him eventually emerge as a quality option along Alabama’s offensive front.
With four of the five starters returning this season, don’t be surprised to see Quick continue to add weight, strength and practice reps while developing before pushing for a starting spot in 2021. The Crimson Tide have three seniors — Leatherwood, Neal and Landon Dickerson — among its starters right now.
