Analysis: As of right now, Kendall Randolph still holds dual positionally versatility at tight end and offensive line on Alabama’s roster, but it will be interesting to see how his role ends up playing out on the field.

With the arrival of North Carolina grad transfer Carl Tucker, who brings a balanced approach to how he plays the tight end position, the need to have a pure blocker on the perimeter may no longer be needed. Could that mean that Randolph ends up making the move back to offensive line permanently? Don’t rule out the possibility.

Either way, he’s a veteran presence who has shown a willingness to help the Crimson Tide is any way possible, and he’ll continue to provide needed depth at multiple positions, whether that’s solely along the offensive line or at tight end as well.
