Analysis: Kevin Harris II has an opportunity to earn snaps on defense after redshirting during his first season in Tuscaloosa. The former four-star weakside defensive end is lean at only 222 pounds, but he brings length (6-foot-4) and an excellent first step off the snap.

The game experience hasn’t come yet, but Harris will have a slight leg up on most of his competition due to being in the program for a season now. Will that help him get on the field? It could, but he’ll have to hold off the likes of Will Anderson Jr., Chris Braswell, Drew Sanders and Quandarrius Robinson.

Adding more weight and upper body strength while not sacrificing his explosiveness would help him a great deal heading into Year 2. Anywhere from the 230-240 range would be ideal for his build.
