Alabama redshirt sophomore guard Nimari Burnett has officially entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to multiple reports.
This will be Burnett’s second trip into the portal. Burnett originally signed with Texas Tech in the 2020 recruiting cycle before transferring to Alabama after one season with the Red Raiders.
Burnett began the 2022 season in the starting lineup for the Tide before suffering an injury that sidelined him for a few weeks and then he would return as a key bench player for the remainder of the season.
During the 2022-23 season, Burnett averaged 5.6 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.
Unless Burnett graduates this spring or summer, he would have to sit out a year due to NCAA guidelines for two-time transfers.
