A University of Alabama spokesperson confirmed to Tuscaloosa News’ Nick Kelly that Alabama forward Grant Nelson suffered a lower leg injury. According to Alabama head coach Nate Oats, Alabama will “try to get him ready to go by Saturday.”
The injury occurred in Alabama’s Monday night win against Arkansas State. In 16 minutes of action, Nelson scored 12 points, grabbed one rebound, and dished out two assists.
Thus far, Nelson has been one of Alabama’s bright spots on both ends of the floor. He has knocked down shots at all three levels and provides great length on the defensive end of the floor.
With a tough three-game stretch approaching, Alabama hopes that Nelson will be okay.
