Alabama tied the series and ended the Vols’ 17-game win streak.
Tennessee left the bases loaded in the first inning and stranded nine runners on base in the contest.
Christian Moore went 4-for-5 and hit one home run and one double, while Robin Villeneuve went 1-for-4 and hit one home run for the Vols.
Blake Burke went 2-for-5 and recorded one double.
Drew Beam pitched a complete game for the Vols. He pitched eight innings and allowed six runs (five earned), eight hits and two walks, while recording six strikeouts.
