Air Jordan 1 ‘First in Flight’ pays homage to North Carolina

A new colorway of the Air Jordan 1 women’s shoe pays homage to North Carolina with a UNC-inspired look.

A special women’s UNC-inspired colorway of the Air Jordan 1 is set to release this Summer as we got our first look on Tuesday.

The ‘First in Flight’ colorway is the newest colorway in the Air Jordan 1, giving women a special UNC color blocking throughout. Although we don’t know the full inspiration for this colorway yet, the nickname hints at paying homage to North Carolina.

In images leaked on Instagram by sneaker accounts zsneakerheadz and sharkkicks1 show a Carolina blue and obsidian dominant colorway on the tumbled leather upper with white and gold accents throughout.

The Jordan Wings logo is dressed in gold on the side and the in-soles feature blue and gold branding. “First in Flight” is branded underneath the “Nike Air” tongue tag as well.

The shoe is set to drop this Summer with a July 6th release date and it will be available in women’s, preschool and toddler sizes with a $180, $85 and $70 price tag on them at retailers and online at Nike.com.
