Adam Walton joins Tennessee’s 100/100 club

Adam Walton wins 100th doubles match against Florida State.

No. 6 Tennessee won its NCAA Super Regional match against Florida State Saturday.

The Volunteers will next face Baylor in the national quarterfinals Thursday.

In the dual match against Florida State, Adam Walton reached a career milestone with two victories.

Walton, the nation’s No. 3 singles player, defeated Loris Pourroy, 6-3, 7-5. He also teamed with partner Pat Harper to win a doubles match.

Walton joined the Vols’ 100/100 club as he won his 100th doubles match. He also has 119 singles wins in his career.

He is the sixth player in program history to record at least 100 wins in both singles and doubles.

Walton joins Byron Talbot, Shelby Cannon, John-Patrick Smith, Boris Conkic and Mikelis Libietis.
