Last year, Michigan State basketball forward Aaron Henry could have entered the NBA draft, but he instead decided to come back amid much uncertainty around the COVID-19 pandemic and work on his game. This time, he has made his decision and there is no turning back. On Monday, Henry announced he will enter the 2021 NBA draft, and he will hire an agent, meaning he is for sure making the jump.
Henry should have improved his draft stock this past year despite the Spartans’ frustrating season. His numbers were up across the board:
2020 stats: 10 points, 2.9 assists, 4.6 rebounds, 0.8 blocks, 0.6 steals per game
2021 stats: 15.4 points, 3.6 assists, 5.6 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, 1.3 steals per game
Henry projects as a late first-round, early second-round pick.
From @hennny11's Instagram, he plans to sign with an agent and forego his final year at MSU. https://t.co/sksg9CKs6n pic.twitter.com/Vls2U1FlHs
