Texas is widely known as one of the highest revenue earning athletics programs in the country.
Oftentimes the Longhorns take the No. 1 spot in USA TODAY Sports’ annual finances review. For the 2022 athletics season, Ohio State holds the No. 1 ranking with $251,615,345 total revenue.
Five SEC programs cracked the top 10 in terms of highest total revenue, followed by three Big Ten schools and two from the Big 12. However, the two Big 12 representatives will soon be joining the SEC. That means seven of the 10 highest revenue earners will be in the SEC next season.
