On Monday, it was reported that Nebraska basketball guard Jamrques Lawrence had entered the transfer portal. Lawrence had just completed his second season with the Huskers and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
This past season, the New Jersey native appeared in 34 games, starting in 23. He averaged 6.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
In 62 career games, he averaged 6.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He is now the fifth Husker to enter the transfer portal, after C.J. Wilcher, Blaise Keita, Eli Rice, and Ramel Lloyd Jr.
Lawrence was a member of Nebraska’s class of 2022. He chose the Huskers over California, Fordham, Hofstra, UMass, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and Wichita State, among others.
