A Bills defensive tackle literally (allegedly) co-signed the team’s firing of OC Ken Dorsey

Honestly, I’m not sure “NYGJack” had the best intentions with his ‘fire Dorsey’ sign.

Ken Dorsey wasn’t the problem for the Buffalo Bills.

Well, he wasn’t the only problem. The Bills re-homed their embattled, often-angry offensive coordinator Tuesday morning after a frustrating, turnover-plagued loss to the Denver Broncos dropped the team to 5-5 and put its playoff hopes in jeopardy. Dorsey was the architect behind a top 10 unit in both points scored and yards gained and the league’s third-best offense in terms of expected points added (EPA). This didn’t matter, as the team needed a scapegoat and Dorsey was it.

This was exactly what one (self-proclaimed New York Giants) fan wanted — and Buffalo defensive tackle Tim Settle may have been on board with the idea.

That tweet, from a patron in attendance whose handle is “NYGJack” and who prominently mentions his Giants fandom in his profile, made the rounds Monday night. Whether or not that’s actually Settle’s autograph is up for debate, but it’s certainly close enough to lend credence to the story. And, if it is, there’s no telling whether or not Settle actually read the sign before hitting it with a Sharpie.

Still, the timing is remarkable. NYGJack, either earnestly or trolling, got a Bills player to allegedly endorse his call for Dorsey to be fired. Less than 24 hours later, he was.
