Texas slips two spots in latest US LBM Coaches Poll

The loss to Georgia has been costly for the Texas Longhorns who tumble down the US LBM Coaches Poll two spots.

After losing a mistake filled SEC Championship Game, the Texas Longhorns are paying the price in the polls. UT slipped two spots to No. 4 in the newest US LBM Coaches Poll.

Georgia moves up to the second spot in the poll behind No. 1 Oregon. Notre Dame passes Texas into the No. 3 spot, which may be very relevant when the College Football Playoff rankings come out.

Penn State fills out the Top 5. Tennessee, Ohio State, Boise State, Indiana and Arizona State fill in the rest of the Top 10 in that order. Alabama is No. 11.

Even with the last-second win over SMU, Clemson lands at No. 13. SMU ironically is ranked 12th.

South Carolina, Ole Miss and Missouri join Texas, UGA and Bama as SEC teams in the ranking.

11-1 Army is ranked 18th, one of the school’s highest ranking in decades. Army still has its biggest game of the year next week against Navy.
