Jason Kelce adds passionate context to Travis Kelce’s slow start to 2024 season

He may have had a busy offseason, but football is still Travis’ priority.

No one is a more ardent supporter of Travis Kelce than his big brother, Jason. With the Kansas City tight end off to his slowest start since 2013, Jason — now an analyst for ESPN — provided some context for anyone who is doubting whether the future Hall-of-Famer has still got it.

Travis had 15 receptions for 158 yards through the first four games (all wins) of this 2024 season, and critics started wondering aloud if his off-season activities were drawing his attention away from football.

Kelce spent the summer traveling to see girlfriend Taylor Swift perform her Eras Tour shows in Europe, even joining on stage in London once. He also got his first recurring television role with Ryan Murphy’s Grotesquerie on FX, and Kelce hosted new gameshow Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?

But despite all of that, big brother Jason emphatically stated football is his first love.

Travis got off to a hot start in Monday night’s game against the New Orleans Saints with three receptions for 31 yards on the Chiefs’ opening touchdown drive.
