Browns get one offensive tackle back but lose another one vs. Giants

Cleveland Browns right tackle Dawand Jones did not take the field to start the second half against the New York Giants.

Cleveland Browns right tackle Dawand Jones did not take the field to start the second half against the New York Giants. Jones was injured when Brian Burns strip sacked Deshaun Watson during the two-minute drill. The Giants recovered the fumble inside the Browns’ territory and immediately scored a touchdown to end the half. Swing tackle James Hudson III replaced Jones at the start of the half.

Jones battled a sore knee in practice this week. Jones suffered a season ending knee injury last year. Jones is standing on the sideline and is questionable to return.

The Browns need the offensive tackle back on the field. The line is getting destroyed against the Giants. The Giants are getting pressure on every Deshaun Watson passing attempt. The quarterback is not making it easy for the lineman by holding onto the ball for too long.

The Browns must get their offense in order during the second half of the game. They are losing 7-21 against the New York Giants and have been unable to generate positive plays. The Browns are still in the game, but time is running down.

Dawand Jones returned to the game.
