Ohio State great Archie Griffin celebrated a milestone birthday this week

In case you missed it, Archie celebrated a big birthday this week! #GoBucks

The only two-time winner of the Heisman Trophy turned 70-years young this week. Former Ohio State legend, Archie Griffin was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 21, 1954, and would eventually change college football forever. His list of on-field accomplishments is longer than most and his contributions to the Ohio State football program didn’t stop when he stopped lacing his cleats.

The two-time All-American was once the CEO of the Ohio State University Alumni Association and served as an assistant athletic director. This has been a momentous year for Griffin as a statue of himself was unveiled at the Rose Bowl this past week and he is having another unveiling of a statue at Ohio Stadium this upcoming week to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his first Heisman Trophy winning season.
