When Ohio State football took a commitment from in-state 2025 quarterback [autotag]Tavien St. Clair[/autotag], he wasn’t ranked especially high by the recruiting services.
The 6-foot, 4-inch, 225-pounder was initially placed in the 300’s by the 247Sports Composite, which still put him in the 4-star range. Fast forward to now, and the Buckeyes’ future signal caller continues to move north according to recruiting sites.
On3 recently updated its 2025 class, and St. Clair made yet another move up the rankings. With the change, he now is a consensus 5-star prospect, as he’s the No. 2 player with 247Sports, No. 11 with Rivals, No. 15 on ESPN, and No. 15 according to On3. His 247Sports Composite Ranking has him as the No. 9 overall player.

The other two Buckeyes that hold the consensus 5-star ranking are cornerbacks Na’eem Offord and Devin Sanchez. It’s shaping up to be another banner class for the Buckeyes in 2025, and there is still room for more elite players.
