Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy significantly improved his draft stock at the 2024 NFL Combine.
While Worthy chose not to participate in on-field positional drills, he excelled in the 40-yard dash, 10-yard split, vertical jump and broad jump.
On Saturday, the former Longhorn broke the 40-yard dash record at the NFL Combine with an official time of 4.21 on his second attempt. His vertical jump and broad jump each ranked within the top five of wide receivers in this draft class.
Worthy’s second attempt at the 40-yard dash was unofficially clocked at 4.22 to tie the record, therefore he was ecstatic to learn of his official time of 4.21 to break the record.
Here’s a look at Worthy when he heard he became the fastest player ever at the NFL Combine.
