One of the least surprising declarations for the 2024 NFL draft has finally been announced. Ohio State Buckeyes standout wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. announced he would forego his remaining eligibility to head to the NFL.
The son of the Hall of Fame wide receiver Marvin Harrison, is coming off back-to-back seasons where he put up a lot of production. During his time with Ohio State, Harrison tallied 155 receptions for 2,613 yards and 31 touchdowns. He even added one rushing touchdown this past season to give him 32 for his career. In each of the last two seasons, the two-time All-American scored 14 receiving touchdowns.

Harrison is regarded as the clear WR1 in the upcoming NFL draft and should be among the first players off the board along with Caleb Williams of USC and Drake Maye of North Carolina. For most of the NFL season, Arizona seemed like a contender for his services if they decided to move forward with Kyler Murray as their quarterback. However, they are sitting at No. 4 in the draft order behind Chicago, Washington, and New England.
Harrison could join former Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields if the Bears opt to draft him No. 1 overall. Nobody would bat an eye if that were the case.
