Cowboys lose backup offensive lineman to Giants

From @ToddBrock24f7: Sean Harlow had joined Dallas as practice squad OL depth; now he’ll return to the Giants as an injury replacement for guard Shane Lemieux.

The Cowboys have lost a piece of offensive line depth. What’s worse, he’s going (back) to a divisional foe.

The New York Giants signed Sean Harlow off the Dallas practice squad on Thursday, per NFL insider Tom Pelissero. He’ll take the roster spot formerly occupied by Big Blue veteran guard Shane Lemieux, who tore a biceps during practice this week and was placed on injured reserve.

Harlow had been listed as a center and joined the Cowboys practice squad in late September after starter Tyler Biadasz hurt a hamstring in a practice injury of his own. Harlow was elevated for the team’s Week 3 contest versus Arizona but did not play in the game.

The Oregon State product also has experience at guard, where he’s expected to play for New York.

The fourth-round draft pick from 2017 already did a stint with the Giants during the summer, lasting four weeks before being released as part of that club’s final roster cuts.

Coincidentally, the Cowboys just worked out eight free agents on Wednesday. While none is a marquee name, three of them are guards and another plays tackle.

And now there’s an open spot on the practice squad.
