Broncos inactives: Justin Simmons won’t play vs. Bears

Broncos inactives vs. Bears: Justin Simmons, JL Skinner, Josey Jewell, Ronnie Perkins, Frank Clark, Alex Forsyth and Mike Purcell.

The Denver Broncos have announced their list of seven inactive players for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears.

Broncos Justin Simmons (hip), inside linebacker Josey Jewell (hip), outside linebacker Frank Clark (hip), defensive lineman Mike Purcell (ribs), defensive end Ronnie Perkins, safety JL Skinner and center Alex Forsyth are inactive in Week 4.

These inactive players are members of the 53-man roster who are not eligible to play against the Bears on Sunday.

Elsewhere on the game day front, Denver elevated running back Dwayne Washington and inside linebacker Ben Niemann from the practice squad to the active roster for the Bears game.

Sunday’s game is set to kick off at 11:00 a.m. MT on select CBS channels (view the TV map here). The all-time series between Denver and Chicago is tied 8-8 dating back to 1971. The Bears won the most recent meeting 16-14 in Denver in 2019.
