Bills’ DaQuan Jones explains poking fun at Next Gen Stats

Guy just wants his due respect:

Bills defensive tackle DaQuan Jones doesn’t get much recognition for the job he does.

Not only is he a defensive tackle, he’s a one-tech spacer eater. Not the flashy type like Aaron Donald or Ed Oliver.

But Jones still just wants a little respect. He even let NFL Next Gen Stats know about it, too.

Following the Bills’ 37-3 win over the Commanders, the analytics outlet posted about how well the defense pressured Commanders quarterback Sam Howell. Not listed? Jones, despite having a total worthy of being up there.

Jones let Next Gen Stats know:

Jones naturally just wants what he feels is his due respect. He elaborated further on it during an appearance on the Jim Rome Show.

“Kind of like I said, story of my career,” Jones said.
